The Horseking® Selection System can be used for certain horses in a group as a computer-controlled entrance lock to a hay feeder. The use of this technology is always helpful when a number of horses within a herd have no problems with free access to hay. Horses which are easy to feed, or horses with access to feed rationing are not allowed access to the eating area and receive their portions in a controlled manner at the hay dispenser.

The selection system can also be used as an entry lock for controlled access to pasture. Depending on the amount of time access is allowed to pasture, the horses can pass through the selection gate at the times programmed into the computer. This means that the time-consuming process of leading the horses out to the meadow at various times is no longer required and the horses only have to be brought back into the stable or exercise yard by stable staff.
